Youth and Teen Orientation
At the YMCA, we believe that youth and non-youth athletes can safely improve their strength and overall health by participating in a well-supervised program. Certified Fitness Trainers play an essential role in ensuring proper technique, form, and progression of exercises. Safety in this age group is extremely important, so we require ages 7-16 (17 years old are encouraged to participate to ensure a strong foundation) the Youth and Teen Fitness Orientation to gain access to the Wellness Center.
Without this, they cannot work out in the fitness facility and will have to remain in child watch.
Our YMCA Fitness Trainers will guide you through an effective and safe workout routine and provide you with the knowledge to become safe exercisers in our Y facility.
Please schedule an appointment at the member services desk or with our Wellness Director. Youth and Teen Orientation will last for approximately 30 minutes.
